About us
We Are Apacc explains the money rules that reach ordinary UK households: the State Pension and benefits, tax, savings, and the costs that come with home life and health. It is written for adults in the UK, in full sentences, with worked examples and links to the official sources.
Who is behind it
The site is published and funded by PushImpact OÜ, a company based in Tallinn, Estonia. It is a sponsored information site, which is why every page carries the notice “Advertisement · Sponsored content by PushImpact OÜ”. Full company details are in the imprint.
How the articles are put together
- Official sources: every figure is checked against a source you can verify, usually an official one such as GOV.UK guidance from DWP or HMRC, the NHS Business Services Authority, the Office of the Public Guardian, legislation.gov.uk or MoneyHelper. The sources are linked under each article.
- Dated figures: each article shows the date its figures were checked. Rates and thresholds change, usually each April.
- Examples are examples: worked examples use invented people and round numbers and are labelled as illustrations. They are not a calculation of your own entitlement or tax.
- Illustrative photos: the photographs do not show real people from the situations described.
- Editorial byline: articles are signed “We Are Apacc Editorial”. We do not invent named authors, quotes or testimonials.
What we do not do
We take no applications, arrange no payments, make no decisions about entitlement and charge no fees. We will never ask for your National Insurance number, bank details or Government Gateway or GOV.UK One Login details. We are not part of the government and have no connection with the Department for Work and Pensions, HMRC or the Pension Service.
The four sections
- State Pension & benefits (shape: circle): The State Pension, Pension Credit, National Insurance credits and the Winter Fuel Payment: how the rules work and where to check your own record.
- Tax (shape: square): Stamp Duty, Making Tax Digital and the other tax rules that reach ordinary households, with worked examples and links to HMRC.
- Savings (shape: triangle): The starting rate for savings, the Lifetime ISA and other rules that decide how much of your saving stays yours.
- Home & health (shape: arch): Attendance Allowance, prescription costs, the TV licence and Lasting Powers of Attorney: the money side of home life and health.
